A Little About Me...
I moved to Monmouth in 2002, after looking in surrounding towns for just the right place to live. I was raised in a small town and loved that about Monmouth - small, charming, safe. So this is where I hung my hat.
My background is rooted in public service. I was a Federal Civil Servant for about 35 years. I love serving, supporting. The only trophies I ever received were for "Sportsmanship" or "Most Improved". I root for the team and work hard.
I'm committed to transparency and integrity, and I bring a sincere and caring-for-people-first approach to the role of Mayor. I look out for people - some of my neighbors refer to me as the "Mayor of our Street", which makes me laugh.
My journey to this point in life is based in hard work, dogged determination and my faith, and it's defined by a deep belief in people first, and a vision for progress that is as honest as it is impactful. I believe in the power of open dialogue to build a stronger, more united future for all of our residents.

-- University of Washington, BA in Business Management
-- Federal Civil Servant for about 35 years with the Department of the Army and Department of Justice
-- I spent most of my career in support and services roles, which allowed me to see, firsthand, what needed to be done—and then doing it—to get the job accomplished. This required strength in organization, coordination and communication.
-- I also learned what does and does not work for a leader to be respected and successful: honesty, integrity, open communication.
-- My heart has always been with the “customer” — the person who is where the rubber meets the road. And in government roles at any level, that person is the taxpayer.
