It starts with one piece of farm land. In the name of ‘growth’ and ‘we need more housing’, hayfields are dug up & replaced with concrete & rebar. Apartment complexes and duplexes replace beautiful fields and landscapes. Safe, quiet, narrow country roads get clogged up with traffic. Roads get widened and more land is pulled away. Then the next few acres…and we slowly forget where & how we started, what it used to look like & how beautiful the sunsets used to be. But maybe, just maybe… a few strong voices rise up and grow into a few more… and we make a difference.
