Listening to the news tonight & disturbed by something I hear from both parties…dismay when one of ‘their’ people vote with ‘the other side.’

I wonder when this started, but think it could’ve been near the beginning of where we are today.

We can’t be unwilling to collaborate for the best outcome. It’s not about politicians. It’s about those they serve. “Public servants.”

It’s one of the reasons I’m running for office. Yep, it happens at every level of govt - voting as a pack. In our case, we have one lone voice who breaks up the unanimous vote roll call.

A few of us are trying to bring some balance to City Council, help him out a bit.

There should be some ties, at least 4-2 outcomes. It’s quite rare. It’s not healthy for our town. And it’s not diversity of ideas.
